Microsoft Antivirus und zahlreiche Apps, die von Sicherheitslücken betroffen sind

Microsoft hat diese Woche bekannt gegeben, dass eine Schwachstelle in seiner Malware Protection Engine es einem Angreifer ermöglichen könnte, einen Denial-of-Service zu verursachen. Diese Software ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil seiner Sicherheitssoftware für Windows und ist in eine Vielzahl anderer Softwareprodukte integriert.

Laut Microsoft Security Advisory 2974294 ist ein Update für folgende betroffene Software verfügbar:

• Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010
• Microsoft Forefront Security für SharePoint Service Pack 3
• Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpunktschutz
• Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection Service Pack 1
• Microsoft Tool zum Entfernen bösartiger Software (gilt nur für Mai 2014 oder frühere Versionen)
• Microsoft Security Essentials
• Microsoft Security Essentials-Vorabversion
• Windows Defender für Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 und Windows Server 2012 R2
• Windows Defender für Windows RT und Windows RT 8.1
• Windows Defender für Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 und Windows Server 2008 R2
• Windows Defender offline
• Windows Intune Endpoint Protection

Das Advisory besagt ausdrücklich, dass die folgende Software nicht betroffen ist:

• Microsoft Antigen für SMTP-Gateway
• Forefront Security für Exchange Server
• Forefront Protection 2010 für Exchange Server
• Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010
