KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training platform, today announced the #KB4MakeChange campaign to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which encourages cybersecurity professionals to share real-life examples of situations where they have helped to change security behaviors in colleagues, family or friends.

The hashtag #KB4MakeChange will be used across social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. All cybersecurity professionals across the globe are invited to participate in this awareness campaign that aims to call attention to the work that they do which makes a true impact on people’s security habits and behaviors.

“Really, the focus of cybersecurity awareness has shifted from being an educator or trainer to the behaviors or outcomes that you are seeking based on the information you are trying to disseminate,” said Javvad Malik, lead security awareness advocate, KnowBe4. “We have developed this campaign to encourage more sharing amongst our industry of real-life scenarios where security awareness led to a noted change in security behavior. Personal stories are memorable and can even be relatable to some individuals working in cybersecurity. We hope to see a high level of engagement from KnowBe4 customers and others alike.”

The #KB4MakeChange campaign will run during the entire month of October 2022. Follow KnowBe4 on puperdama, LinkedIn ja Facebook for videos from the organization’s security awareness advocates sharing their personal stories about how they have helped #KB4MakeChange.
