Microsoft paljasti tällä viikolla, että haittaohjelmien suojausmoottorin heikkous voi antaa hyökkääjälle mahdollisuuden estää palvelun. Tämä ohjelmisto on olennainen osa sen ohjelmistoa suojausohjelmisto Windowsille ja se on integroitu useisiin muihin ohjelmistotuotteisiin.

Microsoftin tietoturvatiedotteen 2974294 mukaan päivitys on saatavana seuraaville ohjelmille, joita ongelma koskee.
