A hacker posted a series of offensive messages on Disneyland’s Facebook and Instagram accounts last week.

The hacker identified himself as a “super hacker” called “David Do.” He used racist and other offensive language in a series of unauthorized posts on Disneyland’s social media accounts last week. The hacker claimed that he was seeking revenge on the resort after being allegedly insulted by the staff.

“David Do” claimed in other posts that he was “working on Covid20”, referenced the Chinese city of Wuhan, and deployed racist language. The hacker also told people that they had better hide before he released his “new deadly virus.”

This incident definitely inflicted some damage on Disney’s online image. Some fans of the company kiküldött in response on Twitter last week, saying that they found it “completely unacceptable” that “grossly racist and homophobic content” was left on Disneyland’s Instagram page for “nearly an hour.”

The offensive and inflammatory posts by the hacker were eventually removed from the resort’s Instagram and Facebook pages. Disney also released the following statement to the press last week:

“Disneyland Resort’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were compromised early this morning. We worked quickly to remove the reprehensible content, secure our accounts, and our security teams are conducting an investigation.”

Disneylandnek körülbelül 8.4 millió követője van az Instagramon.
