Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (better known with her last two names) is a US actress, producer, and entrepreneur. She is an Academy Award winner, has two Golden Globe Awards, and as of recently – is a cryptocurrency investor. The actress took it to Twitter to highlight her first purchase of Ethereum (ETH).

The ever-vocal cryptocurrency community was quick to welcome her. Comments ranged from popular names asking her to join them for a chat on podcasts to official accounts of cryptocurrency exchanges dicséret her move.
