ROE Visual has established a UK subsidiary and appointed Nick Shaw as business development director for the UK.

The company is opening an operations base at Production Park in Wakefield, Yorkshire and plans to hire new staff.

The ROE Visual UK sales office will offer direct support and service for the local market, as well as grow sales opportunities in the country.

The opening of a new office has been promoted by the adverse effects of Brexit and steadily growing sales in the UK.

Newly appointed business development director Nick Shaw brings nearly 20 years of experience from both the system integrators and manufacturers’ side of the audiovisual market. He was most recently sales director at ADXBA, global account director at Inner Workings where he delivered digital signage solutions globally to Jaguar Land Rover dealers, and director of AV integration at Anna Valley. He has also held previous roles at Samsung, NEC and Nanolumens.

ROE Visual Europe currently handles all sales activities in the UK and the transition from ROE Visual EU towards a fully independent UK office will be phased in gradually.

The company has chosen to launch a UK office and demo space at the Production Park live production hub because of existing relationships with Backstage Academy, the XPLOR Centre – the world’s first research and innovation centre for entertainment – as well as other Production Park tenants, including 4Wall and TAIT.
