Zero due diligence means criminals can set up on ETH freely

For Ethereum and other blockchains to allow just anyone onto their network, and not care what it is that enterprise is doing, is no different to the apparent immoral attitude of Silk Road founder, Ross Ulbricht, a libertarian the same as I am, who will spend the next 150 years in prison. I have total empathy for Ross, but I don’t for Vitalik Buterin who founded Ethereum. He is a very smart and talented man for sure, but Ethereum is a public blockchain like Phaeton. The difference being that Ethereum seems to have zero standards as to who connects to their chain. Thru the 17/18 crypto boom hundreds of millions of dollars was STOLEN from ICO’s running as ERC-20 Ethereum based entities. Who knows because it’s an unregulated market, but maybe a billion dollars or more was scammed from good people trying to get involved in the crypto world.

Ethereum, who possibly pretends that it has no control over who jumps onto it’s chain, and takes no responsibility for the CRIMES committed on it’s network, is in theory, complicit in those crimes. If eBay allowed people to set up shop to rob people, and did nothing about that, their reputation would not exist and they’d be sued out of existence. So whether it be Silk Road, eBay or Ethereum, all entities require due diligence.

Ethereum, as far as I can tell, has zero. I can’t find anything to say Solana has or has not. But they have DEX’s running on SOL and I don’t see them as being good for society. Phaeton has specifically pointed out what the standards are for anyone to use their network. Any blockchain business, that doesn’t do this, are setting the whole space up to be ripped off again and taken advantage of just like before. We can’t count on governments to protect the people in this space so it’s up to all the players. And Ethereum is the biggest player there is.

Ethereum has a responsibility to do what’s right. I’m sure Vitalik does, but he hasn’t put in place anything that will ensure that happens on his blockchain network. So for anyone to think that the Phaeton model of community based outcomes is not good policy, I retort; ETH actually contributes to human suffering by allowing criminals to frequent their network.
