Eighty-year-old lifestyle guru Martha Stewart is presenting her very first non-fungible token collection on her website, coinciding with a surge in digital assets, The Wall Street Journal said.

In an interview with the Journal, she said that she intends to issue regular collections of collectibles that would be related to specific festivals and seasons in the future.

In addition to speaking with her banker, Galaxy Digital Holdings Chief Executive Officer Mike Novogratz, and musician Snoop Dog, Stewart conducted a significant study before making her entrance into the digital collectibles industry, according to WSJ.

Her first line of NFTs

“Carved Collection” is a Halloween-themed NFT that includes photographs of various pumpkin carvings, her favorite jack-o-lanterns, and even a picture of her costumed as a bloody Halloween nurse. Carved Collection is the name of her first line of NFTs.

The celebrity intends to post her popular summer pool selfie, which was taken at her house in the Hamptons, in the near future.

In an interview with the Journal, she stated “that portrait will become an NFT… who would have anticipated it would be so difficult? Long ago, I was considered cool, but now I’m much more cool than I was before.”

NFTs becoming very popular this year

Unlike traditional artwork or sports cards, NFTs are digital reproductions of artwork, sports cards, or other collectibles that are linked to blockchains and typically acquired using cryptocurrencies. NFTs have gained in popularity this year, with some selling for millions of dollars.

When individuals purchase NFTs, they are acquiring the rights to a unique token on the blockchain, rather than the artworks in question. Nonetheless, the fact that the information included on a blockchain is very impossible to alter makes NFTs attractive, particularly to collectors and digital artists.
