The former candidate for US president Andrew Yang and the New York City mayor is brainstorming for a new idea in the crypto space. Yang has long been an advocate of tech innovation and he stopped by the ETH Denver conference and hackathon to pitch his project Lobby3 DAO. His preferred mechanism for doing so is Lobby3 which was launched just recently and teh proejct which is co-founded by Yang alogn with many of the campaign staffers, describes the Web3 community as a tool that can give people a stronger voice in Washington DC. Those that will buy DAO tokens with ETH can use them to engage with policymakers on issues from financial inclusion and decentralised finance to poverty alleviation. The lobbying organization for web3 users helps to alight the efforts with the Blockchain Association and other trade associations while Yang believes the real power lies with the people:

“If you think this is some problem that some industry heavyweight can just solve, that’s not the problem we’re facing right now. Just imagine total confusion, and you are there.”

Other political personalities popped by the ETHDenver event this week and talked about what steps the government should take to embrace crypto innovation while among them is the Colorado Governor Jared Polis and Sunaya Tuteja who is the chief innovation officer at the Federal Reserve but Yang was impatient and agitated for something more to be done, with things being able to change very fast both positively and negatively.

To get there with Web3 and crypto, he said:

“Let’s make it so people can see the benefit of these technologies in the real fucking world as quickly as possible.”

As recently reported, The former candidate for the American Democratic Primary showed more support for BTC after announcing his new political party. Andrew Yang shows support for BTC again while being a former member of the Democratic Party and revealed his new political organization called “The Forward Party” but he confirmed the support for the broader crypto industry.
