Aurora go official following RMR qualifier success

Aurora have officially announced their CS:GO squad, which retains the complete roster that qualified for the Europe Regional Major Ranking tournament through the open qualifier. The team is headed by in-game leader Artem “⁠RAiLWAY⁠” Gradovich, with Counter-Strike veteran starix as the coach and Evgeny “⁠bullet⁠” Batkin as the assistant coach.

The roster came together in early August, ahead of the first set of qualifiers for the Rio Major. Aurora earned a place at the Europe RMR in their first try by defeating top-five side Astralis in the round of 16, and reverse-sweeping BLUEJAYS in the quarter-finals to secure their spot.

The squad features several young talents such as Evgeny “⁠delus1onn⁠” Plottsov, who previously played for VP.Prodigy, and the former Spirit Academy star Aleksandr “⁠KaiR0N-⁠” Anashkin. Mixed in with the youngsters is the more experienced Amin “⁠sugaR⁠” Azimov, who participated in the Europe RMR for the most recent Major in Antwerp.

Rounding out the team list is Viktor “⁠Lack1⁠” Boldyrev, who is best known for his time in Entropiq. The 23-year-old found success in his yearlong stint with the team, in which Entropiq peaked at ninth place on the world ranking and even placed 9-11th at the PGL Major Stockholm.

Aurora are currently competing in the CCT Central Europe Series 1 against some well-known teams like Copenhagen Flames, forZe, and MIBR. Their next match is on Friday, 19:00 , against 1WIN in the competition’s round of 16.
