AVer camera features first-of-a-kind detachable head

AVer Europe has launched a Connected Health Solutions range of professional cameras.

The company, which aims to discover unmet needs and reduce overall costs for healthcare systems, is responding to the continued growth of telemedicine, patient monitoring and live surgery broadcast.

The first medical-grade PTZ cameras in the range are the MD330U and MD330UI.

AVer’s MD330U Series camera features the world’s first detachable 4K 8MP handheld camera head for doctors to perform patient assessment accurately within the context of telemedicine.

The AVer MD330U is specially designed for telemedicine and has IEC 60601 medical certification. It comes with a 30X optical zoom lens with 4K output resolution, and with AI noise reduction.

AVer Europe’s senior vice-president of sales and marketing, Rene Buhay, said: “We’re already seeing our medical-grade cameras have a huge impact in hospitals in other parts of the world, and we’re excited to bring Connected Health Solutions to Europe.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has fundamentally impacted the healthcare industry, and innovation in technology is driving positive change in patient-centred care and reducing costs overall. We’re committed to developing medical-grade equipment for healthcare environments and looking forward to working closely with more partners in this industry.”
