Axie Infinity Unveils September 2021 Updates

The developers of Axie Infinity, a play-to-earn online game, released yesterday, the development updates for the month of September. The update features the acceleration in the development of Battles v2 and Land Gameplay.

Battle V2

Battles V2 also known as Axie Infinity: Origin, an upcoming battle system, will introduce the Axie Infinity community to a brand new gameplay. Origin will be faster, more dynamic, and will allow players to test a demo of the game before making economic decisions. According to the developers, there are plans for an internal launch deadline to release Origin to a group of our top battlers. The actual public launch is still in the works. 

Adventure Mode

The completion of the last chapter of PVE adventure mode would be ready with some of the concept art and enemy design finished.Their update release noted how their “team is putting a lot of thought and effort into making the various chapter bosses unique and challenging.”

“We will mix up and upgrade the season structure and expand it continuously through future patches.” Axie Infinity stated. 

PVE Mode and Deck Building

Moreover,  the Origin’s engineers and game designers are working on the PVP system and stats/abilities for the body parts/cards, respectively. Noting that they are doing their “best to allow the cards to retain the spirit/concepts of their old versions but also add some new mechanics.”

Axie Infinity also said that it is considering adding more customization to team and deck-building. On top of that, they announced that about 70% of the new card art is finished. (Read More: BSP, SEC: Axie Infinity Aren’t Required to Register Yet)

Land

Leaning to the development of Land, Axie Infinity revealed that the team working on this welcomed a new game designer to its ranks this month; opening many directions its development can go, such as crafting, building structures, and harvesting resources, an open amusement park like experience with many mini-games, and a strategic battle between different armies for control of territory/resources.

Land or Lunacia, the Axie homeland, is a divided tokenized plot of land which serves as homes and bases of operation for Axies. Protocol Update

On the other hand, Axie Infinity, with now 1.5 M daily active players, also reported that it is the highest revenue generating application in all of crypto over the last 30 days generating over 300 M USD staking higher than everything else except Ethereum.
