Champion of Champions Tour introduces National Leagues

CCT has announced the National Leagues as a new competition in their circuit. The events will be a separate entity from the main CCT events, with the most successful National League teams receiving seeding into the main circuit, running from June 2022 to January 2024 with a total of $3.4 million in prize money.

The champion of each National League will be included in the CCT point system, giving them the chance to accumulate points across the subsequent Online Series to qualify for one of the seven European Studio Final events, featuring a combined prize pool of $700.000.

Alongside the National Leagues, CCT has announced another new event to their circuit — the CCT National Finals. This event will bring together the winner of each region, pitting them against each other to determine the sole champion of this branch of CCT. Dates for each National League and the National Finals will be announced at a later date.

“Today, we’re happy to announce that CCT National Leagues is opening more pathways for players to compete in our global circuit and are acknowledging the impressive efforts of tournament organisers around the world,” said Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournaments at GRID. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with this strong group of organizers and to bring the CCT to even more communities.”

The eleven partnered leagues confirmed up to this point are:

The leagues and National Finals are planned to be held within Europe, leading to a focus on European partners. However, CCT is additionally considering applications from the rest of the world.
