Clupos is developing a new gaming space

In an attempt to introduce decentralization to Web3 gaming, blockchain game company Mythical Games, along with 22 partner firms and a small number of well-known advisors, announced a foundation, DAO, and token on Wednesday.

Publishers of video games including Ubisoft, Krafton, Netmarble, Kakao Games, Com2uS, CM Games, and others are among the Mythos Foundation’s launch partners.

Heavy heavyweights in esports like FaZe Clan, Gen.G, Sandbox Gaming, and EVOS, to mention a few, will also be part of the foundation. Animoca Brands, Klaytyn, Hadean, LINE Blockchain, and Oasys have all joined Mythos in Web3.

In an interview with Decrypt, Linden said, “There are maybe another five firms that have already signed, but we’re simply not quite ready to publicize them yet.”

According to the announcement, the Mythos Foundation has a distinguished group of initial advisors, including former Sanrio COO Rehito Hatoyama, Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu, Chief Product Officer of 100 Thieves Pete Hawley, Chief Corporate Alliance Officer of FaZe Clan Jaci Hays, Former COO of Twitter Adam Bain, and President of Polygon Studios Ryan Wyatt.

Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and the electronic music band The Chainsmokers have both joined the Mythos Foundation as advisers

The role of the foundation will be to manage the Mythos DAO, a decentralized community with a new Ethereum ERC-20 token called Mythos (also known as MYTH), which should not be confused with the Mythos token on the Binance Smart Chain. Owners of MYTH will have the option to vote and offer recommendations for ecosystem choices.

Additionally, the Mythos Foundation will need to make judgments about cross-chain issues, NFT standards, esports-related issues, guild support, and policy changes, actions that are likely to provide some uniformity throughout the crypto gaming industry.
