Fallout 3 has been announced in Epic Store

Hometopia is a video game that Everyrealm, the metaverse technology firm backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase, and the Weeknd, is collaborating with to release the first widely played metaverse game for designing, constructing, and remodeling virtual homes.

With the help of pals, gamers may construct their perfect homes and communities in the free-to-play video game Hometopia. Players in Hometopia are given genuine ownership of whatever they construct and acquire, in contrast to standard video games.

“As people get older and grow out of the homebuilding games they liked as kids, Hometopia will draw in players searching for a more realistic home design and world creation game. According to Alex Ahlund, the game’s creator and developer, Hometopia “stands to become this generation’s The Sims, one of the best-selling PC games of all time, which sold more than 11 million copies and generated more than $5 billion in sales.”

The gameplay in Hometopia is similar to that of some of Roblox’s most well-liked home design games, like Bloxburg and Brookhaven

Since its 2015 release, Bloxburg has received over five billion visits and more than 11 million favorites. Another Roblox-based simulation game of home building, Brookhaven, regularly sees over 450,000 concurrent users.

Hometopia, according to Janine Yorio, CEO of Everyrealm, “is poised to capture those looking for more mature versions of the Roblox interior design games they grew to love as children, and will particularly appeal to a female demographic that has been overlooked by most metaverse gaming projects but which represents a disproportionate amount of spending power.”

Hometopia is a project run by Alex Ahlund, a 20+ year veteran of the video game industry best known for top-grossing mobile games such as Design This Home and Design This Castle, which each had more than 25 million players. Hometopia is backed by Polygon, Forte, and Overwolf.

After more than three years in development, Hometopia will be released later this year for free on the Epic Games Store for PC, with releases on Mac and other platforms to follow.
