To keep pace with the rapid growth of fintech industry in the country during the pandemic, 917Ventures, a startup incubator owned by Globe Telecom, has partnered with global fintech training platform 10×1000 Tech For Inclusion, securing 100 Fintech Foundation Program Flex grants for its employees.

The collaboration, which will be the first in the country, will start this October, giving Globe’s employees opportunities to upskill in fintech through training and workshops provided by the Flex program.

“We are grateful to be part of this significant initiative. We have seen the rapid growth of fintech during the pandemic and we need to be able to take advantage of this situation by harnessing our employees’ ability to ideate, develop new markets, and make financial products and services more inclusive for the masses to drive economic growth,” said Vince Yamat, 917Ventures Managing Director.
