UCLA basketball team guard, Jaylen Clark, creates history as the first NCAA player to create his own cryptocurrency. Clark announced his latest venture on YouTube and has expressed his excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead of his new journey.
According to reports, Clark is the first-ever college athlete in the United States to have a personal cryptocurrency coin. His crypto, which is called $JROCK, will be introduced to his thousands of followers on social media.
Even though Clark isn’t one of the stars of his team, he had contributed a lot to the program by filming his life behind the scenes as a Division 1 college player, which earned him thousands of followers. Now, Clark wants to take advantage of his popularity and bring something new to his followers by venturing into cryptocurrency.
Trade savvy
Aside from being a great athlete, he is also well-versed in trading ventures. Clark told ESPN that he was an active trader and used Robinhood to handle his personal crypto.
He also shared that he desires to share his crypto knowledge and help people to venture into cryptocurrencies so they can also tap the opportunities that these virtual currencies can provide.
Clark added that he had previously bought Dogecoin for a penny and sold it at $0.17, earning him around $10,000. He said that until now, he couldn’t believe that he was able to earn that kind of money with hardly any effort at all.
Rocking the crypto world
Clark said that his $JROCK crypto coin will be available on Rally.io, a platform that allows holders to have direct access to unique ticket giveaways and special merchandise which are exclusive to investors. $JROCK is currently valued at $0.44.
