Dr. Krzysztof Appelt, CFO and Business Development Manager, RANDAEMON, will deliver Keynote for “QKD and QRNG: Cybersecurity with Quantum Hardware” session at IQT Quantum Cybersecurity in NYC Oct 25-27. Dr. Krzysztof Appelt – Polish scientist and entrepreneur (Ph.D. in biochemistry, Max Planck Institute in Berlin, 1980). In 1984 accepted an invitation from the Chemistry Department of UCSD and moved to San Diego. In 1986 joined Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a startup biotechnology company using protein crystallography, molecular biology, and computer-based drug design for the discovery of new therapeutics. Led teams engaged in antiviral, ophthalmic, and anticancer drug discovery and development projects. Agouron was acquired for $2.1 billion in 1998. Global Head of Ophthalmology at Pfizer. Moved to startup company Quorex Therapeutics as Chief Technology Officer. Founder, President, and CEO of Great Lakes Pharmaceuticals and Visthera, Inc. 70 publications in refereed journals, editor of 2 books, invited keynote speaker on several international meetings in Europe, Japan, and the US.
