Matrox Video ships ConvertIP encoders and decoders range

Matrox Video is shipping the ConvertIP range of standards-based, IPMX-ready encoders and decoders.

They provide systems integrators with a new level of AV-over-IP design flexibility to build inter-operable, scalable and cost-efficient AV infrastructures. Featuring multiple connectivity options –including HDBaseT – compressed and uncompressed support, the standalone devices support lossless, zero-latency 4K signals over 1, 10, and 25 GbE AV-over-IP networks.

Built on internet protocol media experience (IPMX), the pro AV market’s emerging set of open standards and specifications for AV over IP, the series facilitates the integration of new products and platforms into existing or future networks, while supporting 4K60 4:4:4 IP signal transport.

Combining encoder or decoder functionality on compact, PoE+-powered devices simplifies integration, while ConvertIP’s fan-less and redundant design ensures 24/7 operation across a range of AV/IT environments.

Ron Berty, Matrox Video’s business development manager, said: “AV integrators are seeing that open standards unlock the true potential of how AV-over-IP networks should be deployed. Matrox ConvertIP Series encoders and decoders act as a bridge, by allowing users to add technologies to build and extend their AV-over-IP networks.”

Matrox will be demonstrating the ConvertIP series at ISE 2023, which takes place in Barcelona from 31 January-3 February.
