Meta Horizon Worlds Spotlight: Ubi’z Crane-gry Skies

Welcome back to our weekly spotlight on the people building for Meta Horizon Worlds and their amazing creations.

Last week, we sat down with a married couple creator team, metajorgen and Spacydoge, who’ve built tons of worlds, like Alone in the Arctic: Survival Sim, and chatted about the life and career paths they took to Worlds. We even learned that they’ve been pursuing creative endeavors together since high school.

This week, we put on a hard hat, grabbed the controls of a giant crane, and channeled our inner Miley Cyrus in ubiquitouz’s Ubi’z Crane-gry Skies. You know, to try to destroy some things with a wrecking ball.

Breaking things can be really therapeutic. That’s why rage rooms are a popular outlet—dedicated spaces where you grab something like a bat or a stick and smash plates, cinder blocks, TVs, and so on. It can be a huge stress relief.

But if you don’t have the time or energy to go to one of those places, Worlds has you covered. In Ubi’s Crane-gry Skies, your job is to outdo up to three others as you compete to score the most points tearing down things like concrete and glass on the top of giant buildings hundreds of meters in the sky.

Grab the two controllers in front of you, carefully move the crane in position, drop the ball, and see what you can hit. Move the crane’s arm a little too far, and you’ll see the ball plummet into the abyss. Center it perfectly, and you’ll have earned a very rewarding bulls-eye. But if you ease up after just one hit, your friends might outdo you.

You’ve got three minutes to audition for crane operator. Just don’t target the porta-potties. No one wants that kind of mess.
