MSP Global upgrades inventory with NEXO loudspeakers

Events services company MSP Global has upgraded its inventory of sound equipment with point source and line array systems from NEXO.

With the events business bouncing back following the pandemic, the Liverpool-based company has acquired four P12s, four L15 subs and 24 GEO M10 line array elements with 12 MSUB15s. Amplification and processing for all boxes is provided by NEXO NXAMP4X4MK2 powered controllers.

MSP managing director Colin Reader said: “We started looking to upgrade our sound equipment inventory before Covid hit, and I’d remembered what a strong product NEXO was from my time living and working in South Africa in the 1990s.”

After a demo of the P+ Series in Liverpool followed by a visit to the NEXO campus in France, listening sessions were arranged, starting with the P+ point source speakers, moving up to NEXO’s GEO M line arrays.

“When they first powered up the tiny P8, I wondered where they had hidden the other speakers,” said Reader. “The power and quality of everything we heard from such compact cabinets was extraordinary.”

As soon as they were delivered, the NEXO systems were employed at Speedy Expo 22, which took place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool in October, before being used for the World Gymnastics Championships, held at the same venue.

During the Covid lockdowns, MSP became one of north-west England’s busiest livestreaming facilities. Reader added that the company’s conference clients appreciated MSP’s ability to deliver world-class NEXO sound to attendees in the room, while reaching thousands more remotely with a live stream.
