Oakenfold is coming out first half of November

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on March 3, 2023. After years of working with PlayStation on the Nioh series, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo surprised attendees at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase this year. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a new souls-like IP based on the Nioh series, will release for multiple platforms in 2023, the studio announced.

Team Ninja’s first new IP since 2017’s Nioh is Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. It’s a new action game set in China’s Three Kingdoms period that mixes real history with Chinese mythology and supernatural creatures. The game’s fast-paced combat is more like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice than Nioh.

After releasing a demo at Tokyo Game Show last month, Team Ninja announced that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on PC, current-gen, and last-gen consoles on March 3, 2023. This places the game alongside Resident Evil 4, Dead Island 2, Like a Dragon: Ishin, and Hogwarts Legacy in Spring 2023.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is Team Ninja’s first action RPG in less than a year since Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Wo Long is led by Nioh staff, including studio head and director Fumihiko Yasuda. The studio’s first game to feature ex-Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa, whose experience at PlayStation’s Japan Studio will give the game a distinct polish.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be a day one addition to Xbox Game Pass, joining a host of other Japanese titles Microsoft has helped bring to the service and marking a big debut for Team Ninja’s souls-like titles on the service since the Nioh series is PlayStation exclusive. Rise of the Ronin, Team Ninja’s 2024 PlayStation exclusive, follows Wo Long. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty releases March 3, 2023, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Launching with Xbox Game Pass.
