PixelPotus: Gather Benjamins, Obamas, and Trumps as NFTs

Claim your own free POTUS on the Tezos blockchain

PixelPotus, one of the more notable NFT collectible dapps on the Tezos blockchain, is performing remarkably well over the past thirty days. As one of the newest NFT collections, PixelPotus has seen increased interest. The number of active users rose to more than one thousand. Additionally, the number of transactions quickly climbed to more than 26,000.

As Tezos-based decentralized applications gain traction, PixelPotus benefits from increased attention from the public. Additionally, the way the POTUS collection is structured motivates further activity.

The seven-day metrics for PixelPotus also show that NFT enthusiasts appreciate the sentiment behind the collection. While there is a drop in the number of active users, the collection still attracted upwards of 600 active user wallets. Despite the fact that the initial wave of novelty slowly wears out, the pixelated US President collectibles are doing well on the market.

In the past 24h, more than 250 user wallets have been active on the platform, making transactions worth upwards of $1,000. Considering the fact that one POTUS NFT can go for as low as 0.12 TEZ (about $0.30 at the time of writing), these are significant numbers.

How does PixelPotus work?

The idea behind PixelPotus is relatively straightforward. Collectors purchase an NFT of any of the former and current Presidents of the United States. Initially, your collection starts off with a common collectible, which can then be upgraded. One of the main incentives, and the somewhat competitive element of the collection, is to reach a unique status on one or more of your POTUS NFTs.

PixelPotus

PixelPotus’ creators decided that there can only be one unique level NFT for each of the Presidents. This means that only the first person to reach a unique status will be able to have that NFT and benefit from treasury rewards.

As you can see in the image above, reaching unique status is not easy. Collectors will have to purchase and burn enough rare, epic and legendary cards to amount enough for the unique one. This is a rather innovative approach to NFT collectibles. By introducing the competitive element, PixelPotus aims to boost activity and support for the collection.

Another incentive to start collecting POTUS NFTs is the fact that you get your first NFT for free. You only need to pay the insignificant gas fee for the transaction. Collectors get one free NFT daily and can purchase up to 6 POTUS NFTs each 24h period, with a starting price for one at 0.125 TEZ.

As a relatively new project, PixelPotus is performing remarkably well. The political element of the collection is also an interesting spin on NFT collectibles. Considering the strong initial performance, DappRadar will continue following PixelPotus’ development, so stay tuned.
