Re-State Foundation, a Swiss non-profit foundation that is focused on reimagining the future of governance is thrilled to announce that it will be launching a global academic network of digital commons in the Metametaverse dubbed the “MetaUniversity”.

World’s First MetaUniversity

Re-State Foundation is set to provide the space with the world’s first MetaUniversity in the Metametaverse, which will be seen providing educational resources on Web3 and collaboration, while also connecting and providing a space for all educational institutions currently operating in various metaverses.

According to the announcement, Re-State Foundation is basically aimed at promoting collaboration, manifested in various forms, with a special emphasis on technological development. Hence, it has initiated the MetaUniversity to serve as a global academic network of leading researchers and institutions around the world. Its research engagements will include the evolution of human collaboration, new tools for the future of governance, Web3 and Cryptoeconomics, digital identity solutions, and others.

The Head of Partnerships at the Re-State Foundation, Alexandra Seaman gave clearer insights on the relevance of the MetaUniversity in the industry while also noting the objectives that prompted the launch. Seaman’s statement reads;

“The MetaUniversity is an essential part of digital commons driven by community solidarity, group ownership, and open source technologies. We want the metaverse we are developing to become a safe space for its visitors to explore different aspects of human collaboration and discuss the impact of emerging technologies.”

The MetaUniversity will exclusively serve users of various metaverses as it will also be a portal through which users will be able to enter numerous educational spaces in other metaverses in an ever-expanding effort to make education more accessible. Its integration with the Metametaverse protocol will allow users in different educational metaverses to be able to easily see and navigate to other educational themed metaverses.

Joel Dietz, the Founder, and CEO of Metametaverse also commented on the new development while revealing the compatibility their platform shares with the launching project.

“Facilitating learning and collaboration is one of the key reasons we built the Metametaverse. It provides a seamless way of connecting different metaverse spaces,” he said.

The announcement was concluded with Omar Ghobash’s statement, the Assistant Minister for Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation who also contributed to the development saying;

“At the time of greatest need for coherence and cooperation at the global level, we welcome leadership in promoting the connectivity and interdependence between people, as well as collaborative governance innovations. The UAE shares the same vision and spirit, and we look forward to co-developing and testing new collaborative tools that can help us attain more agile and resilient societies.”
