We are excited to offer Redwall Mobile on select Zebra ET51 tablets, Zebra is an innovator at the front line of business with solutions and partners that deliver a performance edge across a variety of industries.

Redwall Technologies, a leading Independent Software Vendor (ISV) for multi-modal endpoint device security, announced today that the Redwall Mobile® secure operating system is now available as a custom product on Zebra Technologies’ ET51 Android-based tablet. Redwall Mobile’s patented Secure Persona® multi-role capability enhances the Zebra ET51 tablet and complements Zebra Mobility DNA with additional device security, control, and privacy capabilities. Redwall Mobile provides security built-in at the operating system (OS) level (it is not an App). This distinction allows it to withstand attacks from zero-day exploits, and it provides multi-persona capabilities to handle multiple digital roles (personal, work, tactical, etc.) on a single device.

Redwall Mobile with Secure Persona enhances device utility and productivity. Secure Persona enables one device to serve many roles, by cryptographically and temporally isolating each role into its own separate partition. Imagine one device with multiple work and personal personas, each with its own unique apps, data, settings, and encryption keys. Redwall Mobile with Secure Persona also delivers a cleaner operating environment because it secures the device at the kernel layer, below the application stack. This security architecture allows Zebra to provide its customers with any persona that their security policy requires for work uses; while enabling a personal persona that is cryptographically and temporally isolated from other personas.

With this unique approach, Redwall Mobile puts client organizations in a more proactive posture; limiting malicious user and virus activity by halting access to sensitive corporate (or personal) data below the application stack. Because Redwall Mobile operates below the application layer, it thwarts even highly sophisticated kernel and driver exploits. Furthermore, Android devices hardened with Redwall are immune to threats without the need for patches or updates of any kind.

Redwall Mobile protected devices will be defended against future zero-day attacks without the need to push an update, saving customers’ workload and reducing risks. No emergency patching is required in this “set-and-forget” mode of securing access to data and sensitive IP. Redwall Mobile has been fielded for over 6 years, has never been compromised, and has never required a security patch or update.

“We are excited to offer Redwall Mobile on select Zebra ET51 tablets,” said John Rosenstengel, Redwall President and CEO. “Zebra is an innovator at the front line of business with solutions and partners that deliver a performance edge across a variety of industries.”

About Redwall Technologies, LLC

Redwall Technologies was founded in 2013 by a team of defense security and intelligence practitioners who had a common desire to secure mobile points of intrusion into government datacenters. Redwall founders developed their products predicated on the premise of inventing a means to prevent their own “white-hat” hacker team from compromising a mobile device. This objective focused the development team efforts and resulted in patented device-hardening tools for smartphones, tablets, and other connected devices such as those in SCADA, CANBus, and similar networks.

Redwall’s unique, patented technology is typically installed at organizations whose users rely heavily on the highest levels of device performance and availability, while ensuring military-grade security. The prototypical Redwall Technologies client is a first responder in a disaster zone or member of a military operations team engaging in matters of national security; both of whose field communications require adapting to fast-changing environments and threat landscapes.
