Releases Recap: August 15 – 19

This week, we released a bunch of titles and updates across the Quest and Rift Platforms. Here’s a rundown of the highlights:

Red Matter 2
“Open your eyes.” And just like that you’re swept up in Red Matter 2—and into a mission that spans the entire solar system, an ongoing story of two rival factions, political intrigue, double agents, and science gone terribly, terribly wrong. Continuing the adventure right where the first game left off, Vertical Robot’s sequel is longer and more ambitious. Dive deep into both the intrigue between the Atlantic Union and Cosmoburo, and into the mysterious origins of the titular red matter, which threatens to engulf the known universe and wipe out humankind. ALTAIR BREAKER
Vastus Isle has all the hallmarks of a beautiful travel destination: great weather, gorgeous vistas, and awesome castle ruins—but it’s also overrun with angry AI-powered robots just looking for a fight. That’s where you come in. With the help of some fancy weaponry, you can team up with up to three of your friends to cull the horde and reclaim the island in ALTAIR BREAKER. Take on battles to push back the army of LAWS (Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems) that are roaming around and help Stella, the humanoid AI left in charge of ALTAIR, to maintain peace.

Puzzling Places – Free Blue Temple Puzzle
Puzzling Places knows just how much you love colorful puzzles and puzzles that combine both interiors and exteriors. Now imagine if the developers chose an incredibly colorful Buddhist Temple from Thailand—with both its interiors and exteriors scanned—and put it into the game for free? That’s right, the “Blue Temple” is now available in Puzzling Places for free! Being a “Premium Puzzle,” it contains all the goodies introduced in the latest Premium DLC, “Behind High Walls,” including tiny diorama scenes and easter egg characters, scene animations, and custom soundscapes that build as you finish the puzzle.

MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE – THE COZY UPDATE
Put the kettle on and pull up your favorite armchair, because MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE is seeing its first major expansion with THE COZY UPDATE. But what is “Cozy” really? Cute cats? Well, why stop there? These ones are made of metal and you attach them to your gun! SO COZY! What else is cozy? A relaxing cup of chamomile? Got it. Strap a Cup-of-Tea gunpart to your gun and reap the benefits of all that cozy power! You want pillows? No problem, so long as it’s made of metal. All the new cozy gunparts you could want, which we assume is about twenty. There’s even a Cozy Flamethrower—the Campfire Thrower. There’s also a Sandbox Mode, an Endless Mode, a new HEART LEVEL to explore complete with new enemies and a new boss, and the ability to play the full campaign in co-op. Try it out for science. COZY SCIENCE.
