CW4(R) EuGene Roberts receives Veteran of the Year Honor

The coalition presented the award at an AUSA Veterans Day ceremony at VBC Veteran’s Dinner on Nov. 10. NAVFOC is an alliance of 35 organizations in North Alabama.

Roberts was especially grateful to his family when receiving the award. “This is truly a family award, my wife has done as much or more for our Veterans than I, she should be the awardee of such an honor. Roberts said. “I will accept this award on behalf of our family.”

In the past year alone, Roberts has continued his service as the President of the Rocket City Adjutant General Corps Regimental Association, served with the Semper Fi Community Task Force for Veteran Outreach Fishing and Hunting Trips and the Gold Star Family & Vietnam Veteran Fishing Derby, assisted Tut Fann Veterans Home, and has volunteered countless hours within his community.CW4(R) Roberts actively participates and tirelessly serves with Veteran organizations in the North Alabama Communities.

The mission of CW4(R) Roberts’ all-volunteer team is to support and enrich the quality of life for our Veterans, First Responders, Gold Star families, Heroes Week Warriors events and activities, children with cancer, children of low-income communities, and teachers throughout the North Alabama Communities and beyond. CW4(R) Roberts led his chapter volunteer team to receive “National Adjutant Generals Corps Regimental Association, Small Chapter of the Year” for the last five consecutive years.
