Ride 22 Tour de AV cycling participants announced

Midwich has revealed the names of a team of 24 cyclists who will take part in the company’s Ride 22 – Tour de AV charity challenge.

Organised in association with AV Magazine and cycling retailer Pedal Revolution, the team will complete a gruelling 135 mile (217km) cycle challenge from Midwich Group HQ in Diss, Norfolk to the Royal Ascot Racecourse  across two days.

On day one, the riders will complete 79 miles setting off from Midwich Group HQ in Diss (Norfolk) at 9am on Tuesday 4th October. The route will take them cross country, via Cambridge, eventually arriving at Sound Technology’s HQ in Letchworth (Hertfordshire).

On day two, the riders will weave their way past some notable landmarks such as Windsor Castle before arriving at the finishing line at the Royal Ascot Racecourse having completed 56 miles on day two.

Having completed 135 miles (217km) in total, the riders will arrive at Royal Ascot on day one of the Midwich showcase event, Tech Xpo 2022.

Ride 22 – Tour de AV is Midwich’s first Gift of AV challenge. The Gift of AV fund was created in 2022 as the face of Midwich’s charitable donations. It represents 14 charities with the aim of raising £25k this year.

Over the past 10 years, Midwich has donated £250,000+ to various chosen charities. As well as donating much needed funds, Midwich provides selected charitable organisations or community groups with donations of products and technologies.

The Ride 22 – Tour of AV challenge is aiming to raise £17k+ for charity with each rider choosing a Gift of AV charity (charities below) to fundraise for.
