The SHIB project will be previewing the WAGMI Temple Hub at this year’s SXSW XR experience.

South by Southwest has invited Shiba Inu and SHIB: The Metaverse to exhibit its metaverse experience at the 2023 SXSW festival held in Austin, Texas between March 10 and 19. SHIB: The Metaverse will receive an opportunity to display the WAGMI Temple Hub at the festival’s Extended Reality (XR) Experience which encompasses Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) previews from SXSW badge holders.

The opportunity will enable Shiba Inu to grant an exclusive preview of the WAGMI Temple Hub to attendees of the SXSW festival, the SHIB team disclosed in a recent tweet, sharing a link to an official blog post and an announcement from SXSW listing the lineup for this year’s festival.

According to SXSW, the festival will feature three XR Experience sections, namely: XR Experience Competition, XR Experience Spotlight, and XR Experience Special Events. SHIB: The Metaverse was listed as part of the lineup for the XR Experience Spotlight, with its preview expected to last for 40 minutes.

The SHIB team is encouraging attendees to visit its booth at the festival so as to enhance their experience. The team will instruct interested parties on how to connect their wallets, procure land within the Metaverse and explore the WAGMI Temple Hub.

The (We’re All Gonna Make It) WAGMI Temple Hub is the first of eleven different hubs within the SHIB Metaverse which the team describes as “a Zen-like realm with calming sensations, meditation, natural beauty, and spiritual connections to the world.” Over the months, the SHIB team has released several concepts for the WAGMI Temple Hub, including official images rendered using Unreal Engine 5.1.

According to Sherri Cuono, SHIB’s Metaverse Advisor, the hubs represent the focal points of the project’s Metaverse experience and each of them features a unique experience for users. “Users will be able to earn passive income, collect in-game resources, generate rewards, and even have their own space to build and manage their projects in SHIB: The Metaverse,” Cuono added.

The SHIB Metaverse remains one of the most anticipated projects within the community, with the team periodically introducing concepts and images which illustrate the developments pumped into the project. Last October, the team released a second concept art for Dunes, one of the hubs in the Metaverse. This came three weeks after the first concept art for the Canyon hub was released.
