Strategic Sci-Fi FPS ‘Guardians Frontline’ Deploys on Meta Quest 2 in Early 2023

A wise man once said that the only good bug is a dead bug, and VirtualAge Games seemed to take that to heart while making Guardians Frontline. The strategic sci-fi shooter has you fighting aliens using a combination of FPS and real-time strategy mechanics. The game had a successful run on App Lab, and now publisher Fast Travel Games is preparing to bring Guardians Frontline to Meta Quest 2 in early 2023.

In Guardians Frontline, you play as both a soldier and a general. When you’re on the ground, you can use a variety of powerful guns and vehicles to annihilate your enemies. But you also have the ability to instantly summon new structures on the battlefield to help you out, such as energy shields, weapon turrets, and armed combat robots. You’ll have to balance both of your roles as you face off against hostile aliens.

The game features a single-player campaign where your role as the Guardian is to protect the Federation during a conflict in the galaxy. You can also tackle these missions with three other people in cooperative multiplayer. Guardians Frontline will have a PvP mode as well, where up to eight players can test their strategic prowess against one another. And if you’re feeling creative, you can design your own maps with the easy-to-use level editor and upload it online so that other players can try them out.

Prepare yourself for a tense, alien-filled multiplayer experience when Guardians Frontline launches on Quest 2 next year. Make sure to follow @GuardiansFL on Twitter for updates!
