Encom, organizer and license holders of Dreamhack in Spain, recently announced that they have chosen Challengermode as the tournament platform for their upcoming Esports City League, a new league that will connect Spanish Cities through esports.

The Esports City League will see players from all over Spain compete in CS:GO, Fortnite, Rocket League and Clash Royale, bringing together amateur gaming communities all over Spain.

“We are very happy to be partnering with Challengermode again for the launch of Esports City League. We share the same passion for gaming and developing the amateur esports community, and we know that their technology will help us deliver an excellent experience to Esports City League players.”

– Arturo Castelló, CEO at Encom.

With finals being played at Dreamhack Valencia, we look forward to doubling down on Challengermodes capabilities to support offline events. Encom has been managing Dreamhack in Spain for the last 10 years and we’re confident that a series like the Esports City League will help further grow the grassroots community in the region.

“Over the last four years we’ve been able to help grow the Dreamhack Spain community and help nurture the competitive area with Encom and we are happy to be able to continue doing so as we continue to grow our partnership. Their newly announced Esports City League exemplifies what we as Challengermode want to achieve by making esports accessible to all, from local heroes to (inter)national legends.”

– Philip Hübner, Chief Business Development Officer at Challengermode.
