TradeBlock Appoints Former Ripple Executive as Its New CEO

TradeBlock, a provider of enterprise data tools for blockchain assets, has announced the official appointment of Breanne Madigan as its new Chief Executive Officer. In a press release, the company said Madigan would be focused on taking the reins of the platform on an institutional-grade level for market participants.

According to the announcement, Madigan will be partnering with Nitai Bran, TradeBlock’s Chief Strategy Officer, to work into the global business strategy of the platform owned by CoinDesk Inc.

“I am super excited to have Breanne join the team. She is a world-class Wall Street executive with extensive crypto experience and just an amazing person. I look forward to supporting and collaborating with Breanne as she scales TradeBlock into a vital part of the institutional infrastructure for the emerging crypto economy,” Kevin Worth, CoinDesk’s CEO, said in the press release.

The new TradeBlock’s CEO comes with a background in the financial industry, after having spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, plus working in fintech companies over her professional career. She also served as VP of Global Institutional Markets at Ripple, where she handled XRP liquidity, among other duties.

Last year, Finance Magnates reported that ErisX became the latest digital asset platform to provide its spot market data to TradeBlock. Clients will receive assistance for onboarding their counterparties in over-the-counter (OTC) trades as part of the deal.
