Practice Gratitude with Maloka and The Big Quiet

Most of the time, VR fitness is about getting your body moving. But sometimes it’s about slowing everything down.

That’s why, last month, Maloka, one of the leading VR relaxation apps, partnered with The Big Quiet to bring mass meditation events to five cities around the US.

As a sponsor of The Big Quiet’s national tour, Maloka helped thousands of people in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Austin get in touch with their inner meditator. Packed with relaxing practices like sound baths, breathwork, guided meditation, and live music, the five events helped those in attendance prepare themselves for a season of gratitude.

In conjunction with the national tour, Maloka now features a set of new experiences led by Lexie Lowell, Jackie Cantwell, and Jesse Israel of The Big Quiet, including “Gratitude Blast” and “Navigating the Ups and Downs of Social Life.” Give them a shot while also checking out the many fun and rewarding ways you can practice mindfulness with Maloka.

Brand New HOLOworld: Nihon

You may think that HOLOFIT is just great for doing cardio workouts, and you’d be right—except for the “just” part. Now, you can also adventure into the hit VR fitness app to solve a mystery.

In Nihon, HOLOFIT’s new virtual world, you’ll visit a Far East land and discover ancient rune stones that tell a story of an old magic that humans need today. Nihon’s legend declares that whoever can collect the rune stones can open the hidden sanctuary of an Ancestor Spirit and, in doing so, bring peace to the world. Do you have what it takes?

Nihon is a popular HOLOworld, and you’re sure to have fun and get a great workout, but you won’t even realize that’s what you’ve been doing—solving the mystery requires biking, running, skiing, rowing, squatting, and boxing—until you take off your headset.

And when you’re done, don’t forget to cool down, either in Nihon or one of the other 15 HOLOworlds based on real cities like Paris, real places like a snowy mountain, or even a mystical Cyberpunk World.

Meta Quest Move

Move Tips: Voice Commands

There are few things more annoying while you’re in the middle of a workout than having to push a bunch of buttons on your Touch controllers to see your real-time Move stats. But when you use Voice Commands, getting those numbers is as easy as telling your Meta Quest to bring them up.

Here’s how it works: After setting up the Voice Commands shortcut in Settings, just press the VR Fitness Digest: November 2022 PlatoBlockchain Data Intelligence. Vertical Search. Ai. button twice and try out a voice command. You could try “Show Move Overlay” or “Display Move Overlay,” and you’ll enable the overlay of your Move stats.

Then, if you want them to go away, you can simply say “Hide Move Overlay” or “Disable Move Overlay.”

You can even choose where the overlay goes by adjusting it in Move Settings in the Meta Quest Move app in your Library.
