THREAT расстались с Ninjas in Pyjamas

After a year in the role of Counter-Strike Technical Director, Бьерн «УГРОЗА⁠» Чел has announced on Twitter that he will no longer be working for Ниндзя в пижаме.

The Swede joined Ниндзя в пижаме as their Head Coach in 2016 after transitioning into coaching the previous year on Acer. During his time with the organisation, УГРОЗА had two stints standing behind the team, one from 2016-2018 and the other from 2020-2021.

He then transitioned to his most recent role, which focused on the tactical side of the game and helping the team from outside the server, making way for Ниндзя в пижаме‘s current coach, Дэниел «⁠DjL⁠» Наранчич.

The last year has been turbulent for Ниндзя в пижаме as they have undergone various changes and in turn have struggled to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the world. Despite their instability, the team made it deep at tournaments several times throughout the year, including a 3rd-4th placing in their latest outing at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022.

УГРОЗА parting ways with the team is not the first change that Ниндзя в пижаме have had ahead of 2023 as the team recently announced the benching of Патрик «⁠Es3tag⁠» Хансен. Recent reports link the Swedish organization with the signing of former НАВИ Юниор AWPер Daniil «⁠Headtr1ck⁠» Валитов as es3tagзамена.

Что касается УГРОЗА the future is uncertain, but in his statement on Twitter he alludes to the fact that he prefers being a Head Coach over his most recent role at Ниндзя в пижаме.

“Trying out a new role this past year has been a learnful experience, but I sincerely miss working closely with a team, having a more direct impact,” УГРОЗА said. “I am super excited for upcoming new opportunities in 2023!”
