In a recent interview, Paul Zalai, the Director of Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) Australia, shared some insights about his organization’s potential involvement with Ripple’s payment systems.

Zalai explained that Ripple had approached FTA earlier, but they hesitated due to Ripple’s legal battles in the United States. However, the director mentioned that Ripple’s favorable outcome in the US court case has prompted a reconsideration of the earlier proposal.

“…Ripple explained their offerings to me and a group of major banka predstavniki, and because of the court case, we didn’t proceed. Now that the case is over, we will follow up with Ripple.”

Meanwhile, Zalai reiterated his lack of expertise in the payment technology landscape. Yet, he consented that Ripple’s solution could facilitate real-time payment transfers with robust security measures.

Moreover, the Australian director noted that major banks had shown interest in Ripple during a briefing he attended. Despite not fully comprehending the technology’s implications for FTA members, he recognized its potential significance.
