Underlining the technical hurdles that prevent DOGE from becoming one of the primary cryptos of the world, Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, in a recent Podcast, je dejal,

According to Buterin, there is a lot of room for development in Dogecoin’s network. Nevertheless, Musk had previously asserted that the Ethereum exec apparently “feared the Doge.”  Reverting back to Muskov assertion, Buterin suggested,  

“DOGA se zagotovo ne bojim. Obožujem DOGE. Vsekakor mislim, da Ethereum ne nasprotuje pasjim kovancem. "

Buterin further asserted that Dogecoin’s network could adapt itself to the roll-up technology, and could end up having thousands of transactions per second on its own native chain itself. Pointing to another viable alternative that he seemed to be pretty keen on, the co-founder of Ethereum dodal,  

"Če imamo varen most Doge to Ethereum, bi bilo to neverjetno in ko Ethereum dobi svojo razširljivost, bi lahko z Dogeom trgovali po izjemno nizkih transakcijskih provizijah in zelo visoki hitrosti ... to bi bilo neverjetno!"

Vendar pa za zdaj ni konkretne prednosti za gradnjo mostov med obema kriptovalutama. Kljub temu je bilo v preteklosti že več medsebojnih interakcij in združitev rudarstva bi lahko v določeni meri enačili z istim.

Interestingly, seven years ago on the Dogecoin Subreddit, Litecoin founder Charlie Lee had predlagano merged mining of Litecoin and Dogecoin. Dogecoin adopted the merged mining model in August 2014 and within one month, Dogecoin’s hashrate/mining difficulty increased by 1500% as large mining pools widened their operations.

Vendar Buterin meni, da se to zdaj ne zdi zelo dobra izbira, ker je Dogecoin večji od Litecoina. Mem-kovanec je udobno zasedel šesto mesto na lestvici CMC in je v času tiska trgoval pri 0.35 dolarja. S tržno kapitalizacijo nad 11.6 milijarde dolarjev je Litecoin na drugi strani zasedel 14. mesto in je trgoval pri 172.95 dolarja. 

Soustanovitelj Ethereuma je zaključil s projiciranjem, kje je videl, da bodo kriptovi na trgu končali.

"Bitcoin številka ena, Dogecoin, c'mon, si zasluži, da je številka tri ... ali številka dve in Ethereum je lahko kakršna koli druga številka."
