Just-In: Datoteke Coinbase ($ COIN) za ponudbe kripto terminskih pogodb

Coinbase Inc ($COIN), one of the top global crypto exchanges based out of New York has filed with the National Futures Association (NFA) to offer crypto futures services. The crypto exchange filed the application on September 15 and if approved it would join the likes of Ftx.us who recently acquired a CFTC approved derivative platform ledgerX to offer crypto derivative services to their clients. The exchange said,

Danes je Coinbase pri NFA vložil vlogo za registracijo kot trgovec FCM → Futures Commission Merchant.

Kripto borza je trdila, da jim bodo nove ponudbe, ko bodo odobrene, pomagale razširiti svoje kripto storitve in pomagale tudi pri rasti kripto gospodarstva. Ko bo NFA odobrila kripto borzo, bo potem potrebovala tudi odobritev CFTC, da bo dobila zeleno luč za svoje ponudbe kripto terminskih pogodb.

Ameriški regulatorji so bili do ponudbe kripto derivatov precej pasivni, zato je zelo malo kripto platform, ki so bile za to odobrene. Glavna skrb regulatorjev je visok trgovalni vzvod, ki so ga ponujale številne kripto borze. CFTC je v preteklosti za isto preiskal Binance.

Medtem ko ZDA ostajajo previdne pri trgu kripto izvedenih finančnih instrumentov, se zdi, da svet postaja v trendu, kripto izvedeni finančni instrumenti pa so krčili trg kripto spotov. V zadnjih 24 urah so kripto izvedene platforme predelale več kot 143 milijard dolarjev prometa.

Ali lahko Coinbase med regulativnimi napetostmi vzdrami?

Coinbase went public in April this year marking the beginning of a new era of publically traded crypto companies. However, its public debut was delayed due to an investigation by the CFTC and was later cleared with a fine. Now, Coinbase is facing another regulatory hurdle from the US SEC, the top US regulatory body that has threatened the crypto exchange with a lawsuit over their unreleased lending product.

The crypto platform has vowed to work with regulators but at the same time has demanded better clarity around existing regulations. Coinbase has the potential to become a market leader if it manages to get the crypto derivative nod.
