DappRadar, a platform that provides the latest and most relevant information about decentralized applications, has recently released a data about the top blockchain games based on daily user count.

Based on its rankings, Splinterlands, an NFT trading card game, has surpassed 260,000 daily active users, making it the top decentralized game today.

Splinterlands is a blockchain-powered trading card game that allows users to play and trade using NFT based cards while earning the “Dark Energy Crystals”, which is the native currency of the game.

Splinterlands was able to beat Alien Worlds, another popular blockchain game, which, at the time of this writing, has 250,000 users.

Another interesting fact about Splinterlands is how fast its user base has grown. From having just 10,000 gamers last July and growing to 90,000 last month, its number of players grew to 250,000, pushing it to the top of the rankings.

Exceptional journey

“It’s been an exceptional journey building our community of 800k registered accounts and 400k spellbook owners. We eat, sleep, and breathe Splinterlands non-stop and constantly think about how we can help our community even more,” Dr. Jesse Reich, Splinterlands chief executive officer and co-founder, said.

Splinterlands’ growth and success is actually a reflection of the NFT industry which, in recent months, has grown rapidly both in popularity and adoption.

Continuous growth

NFTs have grown so fast that it has already exceeded the $500 million per day trading volumes, which only speaks of how they have become so popular. But this September, unfortunately, the demand for NFTs have significantly nosedived, but what’s surprising is, Splinterlands wasn’t affected by this trend.

In fact, its gamers have grown by tens of thousands, enabling the game to grow even further even with the declining demand for NFTs.
