ธนาคารแห่งชาติออสเตรเลียขยายการทำงานร่วมกันของ AWS ด้วยข้อตกลงระบบคลาวด์ “หลายล้านดอลลาร์”

ธนาคารแห่งชาติออสเตรเลีย (NAB) ได้ขยายความร่วมมือกับ Amazon Web Services (AWS) โดยลงนามข้อตกลงระบบคลาวด์ระยะยาว “หลายล้านดอลลาร์” ใหม่

ธนาคารซึ่งขณะนี้ทำงานร่วมกับ AWS ตั้งแต่ปี 2013 กล่าวว่าการย้ายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ “แนวทางมัลติคลาวด์ที่มีความทะเยอทะยาน” และจะช่วยให้บริษัทสามารถ “เร่งการโยกย้ายปริมาณงานที่สำคัญที่สำคัญไปยัง AWS”

ข้อตกลงนี้จะได้เห็น NAB ใช้บริการ AWS ใหม่ เช่น AWS Graviton เพื่อช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพระบบคลาวด์ ขณะนี้ธนาคารยังอยู่ในขั้นตอนการเปิดตัวศูนย์ติดต่อระบบคลาวด์ของ AWS ที่นำเสนอ Amazon Connect

NAB group executive technology and enterprise operations, Patrick Wright, says: “The cloud is now ingrained at NAB. Our Simple Home Loans, internet banking, NAB Connect online business platform, and recently launched NAB Now Pay Later product are just some of our customer services being enabled by the cloud.”

The bank says it has now moved 70% of its applications to the cloud and recently became the first major Australian bank to migrate its online business banking platform.

It also claims that by utilising AWS’s tech, it has implemented a programme “to save over $1 million per month in cloud costs”.
