Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricket legend and former captain of the national cricket team, has partnered with cricket non-fungible token (NFT) platform Rario to launch exclusive digital collectibles.

- Rario has existing partnerships with cricket icons, like Zaheer Khan, Kevin Pietersen, Jonty Rhodes, and Shoaib Akhtar.
- In April, Rario raised US$120 million in a Series A round and claimed to dominate the largest share of the world’s cricket NFT rights.
- Tendulkar joins a growing list of Indian actors, athletes and celebrities, such as Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and designer Manish Malhotra, to launch their own NFTs.
- However, NFT sales fell for the fifth straight month in September to just over US$500 million in sales, the lowest level since July 2021, according to CryptoSlam.
