The third day of the IEM Rio Major Legends Stage has concluded, a round of matches which resulted in Heroic, Outsiders, and fnatic securing spots in the playoffs while Vitality, Bad News Eagles, and Sprout were eliminated from the competition.
Just three spots in the bracket stage remain heading into the round five matchups, which will kick off with MOUZ taking on ENCE. Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer‘s side will have their first chance to qualify after recovering from a 1-2 start in the Legends Stage, while MOUZ are hoping to make good on their second attempt after faltering on their first try against Outsiders.
NAVI have one last chance to secure a spot in the Major playoffs
A match between Natus Vincere and BIG will follow, a must-win match for Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev‘s side who are now one of the clear tournament favorites to take home the title following the elimination of FaZe and Vitality.
The final playoff spot will go to the winner of the match between Liquid and Spirit, the first time the two teams have met since IEM Cologne — a best-of-three series in which Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov‘s men narrowly came out on top.
