Aaron Rodgers, an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers Euroopa Jalgpalliliit (NFL), says he is taking a portion of his 2021 salary in Bitcoin and that he plans to give away $1 million in BTC to his fans.

Rodgers, who started his NFL career with the Packers in 2005, was voted the league’s most valuable player (MVP) by the Associated Press for the 2011, 2014, and 2020 NFL seasons.

In a hugely popular tweet that was posted on Monday (November 1), Rodgers, said that Bitcoin has a bright future and that with the help of Square’s Raha rakendus he will be receiving a portion of his salary for the 2021 NFL season in Bitcoin.

His tweet had an attached video, which he had originally postitatud Instagrami on the same day. In this video, the NFL quarterback, who is seen wearing a John Wick Halloween costume, has this to ay about Bitcoin:

"Bitcoin to the moon. That’s why I’m pumped to share that I recently teamed with Cash App. They have enabled me to take part of my NFL salary in Bitcoin for the very first time.

"Bitcoin is a new concept and can be intimidating. So, to make it more accessible to my fans, I’m giving away one million dollars worth of Bitcoin right now. All you have to do is drop your cashtag below and we can go to the moon together."

Back in September, another NFL superstar — Tom Brady, who is a quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and widely considered to be a “Kõigi aegade suurim” (GOAT) due to his many amazing record-breaking accomplishments as a quarterback — talked about crypto.

While doing an interview with American sportscaster Jim Gray for episood 5 satelliitraadiofirma SiriusXM podcast “Let’s Go”, which was released on September 20, the NFL GOAT revealed that he would consider receiving part of his salary in select cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin ($BTC), Etheruem ($ETH), or Solana ($SOL).

Gray then asked about the TV commercial that Brady and his Brazilian supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen recently did for crypto exchange FTX. This was done as part of  a multi-year partnership with FTX — teatas on June 29 — that resulted in Brady becoming an Ambassador for FTX and Bündchen taking on the role of FTX’s Environmental & Social Initiatives Advisor.

Täpsemalt tahtis Gray teada, kas Brady meeskonnakaaslased ja treenerid on kunagi FTX-reklaamist rääkinud.

Brady vastas:
