amana (previously Amana Capital), a multi-asset broker brand with an extensive presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has appointed Haris Loucaides in the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Loucaides succeeds Mazen Yazbeck, who held the CFO role for over 11 years, after his untimely demise. Apart from the CFO role, Yazbeck also headed the broker’s human resource department. He joined amana in 2012 after spending over a decade with GCC investment banks and audit firms.

As the CFO, Loucaides will be responsible for implementing tools and mechanisms within the broker’s finance team, enabling it to grow further. He will explore the integration of technology and optimize team dynamics for enhanced performance.

“Haris combines six years of financial consulting experience in senior advisory roles with executive roles, specifically in the financial services sector across Europe,” said Muhammad Rasoul, CEO at amana. “Haris will play a pivotal role in transforming our financial strategies and driving excellence in our operations.”

Haris Loucaides, CFO at amana

Loucaides is joining amana from FXPro, another forex and CFDs broker, where he was the Group CFO for the past five years. He started his professional career in 2009 at PwC Cyprus as an Assistant Manager and spent six years there advising on IPOs and conducting statutory audits of companies offering CFDs and other investment products.

In between his role at PwC Cyprus and FxPro, he spent more than three years at Interorient Shipmanagement as the Head of Management Vessels. He is a London School of Economics graduate and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

“Finance is a dynamic field that underpins the success of any enterprise,” said Loucaides. “I am perfectly aligned with amana’s transparency principle; I am honored to be part of amana’s journey and look forward to contributing to the growth and innovation of the company.”

Recently, London-based IG Group also named Breon Corcoran, a former executive of online betting platforms, as the incoming Group CEO. He is the permanent replacement of June Felix, who stepped down earlier this year due to health issues.
