Mike Winkelmann (as Beeple), a well-known NFT artist, will host the Polygon-based marketplace that is carbon negative for tokenized artworks.

Carbon-Negative, New NFT Platform On Polygon

WENEW, a digital collectibles store, plans to launch on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain. The platform will soon be available on the cutting-edge scaling solutions portal. Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann, a well-known artist, is in charge of WENEW.

WENEW will be a significant addition to Polygon’s existing NFT platform. Polygon has proudly onboarded more than 150 NFT-oriented applications and a solid NFT infrastructure as of press time. It, for example, backs OpenSea and Upshot, two flagship initiatives of the worldwide NFT movement.

A landmark collection showcasing Andy Murray’s Wimbledon 2013 triumph is up for sale to commemorate the highly anticipated opening of Beeple’s NFT marketplace.

The carbon-negative design of WENEW is its distinguishing characteristic. Aside from that, WENEW will cooperate with the Open Earth Foundation, donating a portion of each transaction to the foundation’s efforts.

The Polygon dApp Ecosystem Is Coming Together

Polygon’s popularity among dApps developers is growing because of its modular and scalable architecture. It now hosts approximately 500 apps in the fields of DeFi, gaming, and NFTs.

Its 1.8 million wallets process 7 million transactions each day. Polygon incorporates the advantages of all widely used Ethereum scalability solutions, such as Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, and Validium.

Polygon’s (MATIC) architecture promises low-to-no transaction costs and unrivaled throughput. Furthermore, its development experience enables the smooth conversion of dApps from Ethereum (ETH) to the Binance Smart chain (BSC).

Who Is Beeple?

Mike Winkelmann, nicknamed Beeple, is a highly skilled digital artist, animator, and art industry disruptor most recognized for being the first artist to have a digital piece sold at Christie’s.

Beeple has been a major advocate and supporter of NFTs, grassroots makers, and collectors, assisting in the transition of significant interest from the traditional world to NFTs and blockchain. The upcoming release of WENEW on Polygon expands on that relationship with the decentralized world.
