Bitcoin Suisse may soon consider an IPO 

Niklas Nikolajsen, founder and chairman of the Swiss crypto broker Bitcoin Suisse (BTCS), said that the company may soon be listed on a major stock exchange. 

On top of that, he also said that the company is also planning to partner with a bank and a crypto company in the near future.  

Nikolajsen also shared that Bitcoin Suisse, which already has 270 employees, plans to expand its workforce to meet the increasing demand in the crypto competition. He said that the board is planning to add 100-130 new positions in the next four quarters to keep up with the growth of its core businesses.

Capital raising

The chairman hints that Bitcoin Suisse’s next quarters would be very busy as the company plans to fulfill several yet highly necessary plans. Apart from the mentioned plans above, the crypto broker also plans to raise capital. What’s not clear is if the company would conduct this through a financing round, credit, private placement, or a combination of one of these three options.

“I could add many things to the list, but it is safe to say that it will be the most exciting time at Bitcoin Suisse in the year to come! Crypto-assets and decentralized finance are here to stay ー and we have barely seen the beginning!” Nikolajasen said. 

The company also plans to tokenize its shares in the near future. Bitcoin Suisse is in a better position to fulfill its goals as it has reported a good first half this year. 

Overhauling

The company had a previous “shake-up” at the management level last month. Key roles like risk procedures, legal, and compliance were all replaced. 

This bold move was done after Swiss financial regulator Finma has expressed its worries that Bitcoin Suisse isn’t doing enough effort to prevent its platform from being used in money-laundering operations.
