Bitstamp Exchange To Sponsor Esports Organization Immortals

The Bitstamp exchange will sponsor Esports organization Immortals after signing a three-year partnership deal and the exchange will be the founding partner and official crypto exchange so let’s read more in our latest crypto news today.

This is not the first foray for Esports into the world of crypto. It already has an existing partnership with DEFI artificial intelligence company fetch.ai and Bitstamp will be the team’s second crypto partner. This is also not Bitstamp’s first esports partnership. Three weeks ago, the exchange announced it will pay $6.1 million in a three-year deal to become the exclusive sponsor of the British organization Guild esports. The US-based Immortals runs the teams for multiplayer online battle arena game known as “League of Legends” as well as “Valorant” as a first-person shooter. Both games are developed by Riot Games that secured a huge sponsorship with FTX last year.

Bitstamp exchange USA’s CEO Bobby Zagotta noted that he believes the new partnership with Immortals will create an authentic experience between crypto and gaming. Zagotta said:

“Serving the digital natives has always been a big part of the Bitstamp ethos. This includes gamers and streamers, who were among the first to explore the integration of digital assets within their industry and understand the value of cryptocurrency.”

The aim of the Immortals partnership aims to help educate gamers about crypto while also offering crypto giveaways to esports fans. Each time the Immortal’s League of Legends team gets the first kill in the League of Legends Championship Series game and Bitstamp will be giving fans a chance to win crypto. As a part of the deal, Immortals will establish a special new team of content creators for the Valorant dubbed Team Bitstamp.

While not being esports pro, the creators will act as brand ambassadors for both the exchange and Immortals and will air live streams and distribute crypto-centric products. From Esports orgs testing the waters into the NFT space to acquiring a major crypto sponsor, it seems that for now, the bond between esports and crypto is getting even stronger. Virtually every top esports organization released an NFT or signed a crypto deal since 2021 with Cloud9 partnering with Blockchain.com and Faze Clean partnering with MoonPay and sponsored by Coinbase.
