ByBit Crypto Exchange Launches NFT Marketplace: Report

The ByBit crypto exchange launches an NFT marketplace, joining the growing list of exchanges with an in-house marketplace for non-fungible tokens as we can read further today in our latest cryptocurrency news.

The ByBit crypto exchange launches NFT marketplace that will give users access to the world of games, Metaverse, and NFTs. The exchange said in the announcement that the new platform is a one-stop-shop whcih that aims to connect digital artists and collectors. Ben Zhu, the co-founder, and CEO of the exchange noted that despite the heavy skepticism around the investments in NFTs, the initaitive made it possible for more people to take part in digital ownership and it also gives content creators the right of ownership to control their works:

“We are excited to provide a premier NFT platform for Bybit users so they can be part of the creation of a new marketplace and new world called the metaverse.”

According to the exchange, the platform dubbed the ByBit NFT marketplace will function differently than other NFT shops. ByBit customers won’t be required to connect their wallets to the platform before they can buy and sell NFTs but they can trade digital collectibles right from their spot accounts. ByBit will be supporting NFTs from the diverse blockchains as part of the efforts to meet the trading needs of the clients. The US-based exchange also noted that performing operations on the platform will be easy for everyone no matter the experience level.

ByBit also said it will be launching campaigns featuring digital collectibles from Realy, ONBD, Monster Galaxy, and more. Aside from listing the collections from the three curators, the exchange said that in the future it will also support the launch of exclusive NFTs from renowned artists. In the meantime, non-fungible tokens are one of the hottest niches in the industry with billions of dollars in trading volume. As the demand for the asset class surges, the crypto companies are choosing to launch their own NFT marketplaces where the users are able to trade and mint digital collectibles.

Coinbase even announced that it will be launching an NFT marketplace dubbed Coinbase NFT and it even partnered with Mastercard to enable users to purchase NFTs with their credit cards.
