DappRadar Will Visit WOW Summit in Lisbon

DappRadar will be present at WOW Summit in Lisbon this November to uncover the latest developments and trends in Web3. From November 1-3, World of Web3 Summit brings industry experts together in Portugal. 

The rise of the metaverse and Web3 is evident, highlighted in recent reports published by DappRadar. Despite macroeconomic turmoil and dropping crypto prices, adoption is happening. In the past three months, the number of traded NFTs has increased, while demand for metaverse land is still strong. 

In Lisbon, thought leaders will get together to share case studies, showcase their products or pitch their ideas for the future of Web3.

Among them is Sandy Carter, the SVP at Unstoppable Domains, a leading company in pushing for the adoption of Web3 identities through blockchain domain names. Their talk will take place on November 1, the first day of WOW Summit Lisbon. 

On the second day, you can look forward to the opening panel by Nicolas Becca, the co-founder at Ledger. The panel will be about uniting Web3 communities. Of course, Ledger is best known as the company behind the hardware wallet, but they’ve set up all kinds of partnerships over the years to bring Web3 enthusiasts together. 

Is Web3 adoption real?

Having an event in Portugal is one thing, but can we really say that Web3 adoption is happening?

Recently Polygon revealed that 3 million Reddit users created crypto wallets to scoop up NFTs distributed by the social media platform. At the same time, Eminem and Snoop Dogg used their Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs to create a music video in the metaverse world The Otherside. Major companies like Nike, Disney, Starbucks, MasterCard and Ticketmaster have launched or announced NFT initiatives. 

Web3 adoption is happening. This year alone, over $7 billion in VC investment funds moved into the development of metaverse and Web3 gaming projects. In the Dapp Industry Report for Q3 2022 DappRadar noted an average of 1.8 million Unique Active Wallets interacting with decentralized applications. That’s an increase of 12% against the previous quarter. Despite macroeconomic turmoil, the industry is showing resilience.
