Tesla CEO Elon Musk has broken his silence on Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin. Elon has tweeted that Buterin fears the meme crypto Dogecoin (DOGE).
Of note, Elon’s tweet eventually came as a response to Buterin for criticizing his claims on blockchain scalability. Emphatically, Buterin recently gave a remark particularly on the trade-off between decentralization and scalability.
Consequently, Buterin’s remark on decentralization and scalability appeared as a response to Elon for saying that DOGE will become the leading chain if it pushes its block size by 900%.
Elon’s Dogecoin statement reads,
“Ideally, Doge speeds up block time 10X, increases block size 10X & drops fee 100X. Then it wins hands down.”
However, Buterin even challenged Elon on how he is striving for a sharp increase in scalability. Buterin further said that Elon’s attention is only on scalability and for that matter, he is not even focusing on things that “make a blockchain what it is”.
Replying to Elon’s tweet, many people said that they really have a love for DOGE. Also, many of the crypto Twitter community asked that Elon should be specific and tell when Tesla will start accepting Dogecoin payment.
Furthermore, others also mentioned that Elon cannot live a single day without tweeting about DOGE.
