ESL Impact Valencia 2022: Mindfreak seek Dallas revenge against world’s best in Spain

Following Nigma Galaxy FE’s victory in Dallas, ESL Impact — the largest female Counter-Strike circuit in the world — moves to Valencia in early July. Can our home-grown stars at Mindfreak take down the world’s best in Spain?

The ever-expanding ESL Impact circuit, catering to the best female Counter-Strike players across the globe, will make it’s next stop in Valencia, Spain in July.

And our Aussie girls at Mindfreak will be right there battling for the every round in what is set to be a hotly-contested tournament abroad.

Mindfreak’s debut outing at Dallas a month ago began well with the team booking their Valencia tickets early through the North American qualifier.

Unfortunately, their Dallas run met an early end against BIG EQUIPA in the group stage.

Vivienne “BiBiAhn” Quach’s squad will meet some familiar faces this weekend in Valencia; Dallas eliminators BIG EQUIPA join Mindfreak in Group A, while North American prospects CLG Red are in contention in Group B alongside Dallas runner-ups FURIA Female.

But it’s going to take something special for our girls to claim their opening match, drawing Dallas champs Nigma Galaxy Female first up in the opening best-of-one.

A match-up against BIG EQUIPA or NAVI Javelins will await Mindfreak — the question is, will our girls be shooting for the playoffs early, or will they face day one elimination?

Eight teams, split into two groups of four, battle for just four playoff spots via a GSL format group stage.

The top two from each group move to the single-elimination playoffs, with the top team emerging as ESL Impact champions and a whopping $100,000 USD richer.
